Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I happened upon this creepily cute little ghost earlier this month. I was captivated by the chilling atmosphere created by the display. It conjured up feelings of walking into a scene from a horror movie. I wish I could say this was my yard!

And these little jack-o’-lanterns are super cute, too.

Have a great Halloween! Have fun and stay safe.

In other news, I plan to write more blog posts in the weeks and months to come. I’ve taken a bit of an unintentional break from blogging for the past three months. The fall has flown by so fast! In addition to work, I was training for a figure skating test, which I ended up having to postpone due to an injury incurred in practicing for said test. So it threw me off a little bit. And the change in seasons can also create a bit of a slump. I miss those warmer and sunnier summer days. But I am looking forward to the holidays to come in the next couple months. At any rate, I’m finally getting back in the groove!

I enjoy blogging about my two favorite pursuits in life, figure skating (as a woman who returned to it in her 40s!) and travel. My travel entries are from various locales around the globe, including Croatia, a country where I have family.

  1. Happy Halloween, it’s the most frightful time of the year! I always love seeing decorations from around the world, as it helps me to get into the Halloween spirit. We didn’t have many decorations around Sligo this year, and that’s why we travelled to Scotland, where we had a chance to experience Halloween fright in full swing with spooky costumes and ghastly pumpkins and plenty of seasonal activities for the kids. Sorry to hear about your injury. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Feel better soon! Thanks for sharing, and have a good day πŸ™‚ Aiva xx

  2. Good to have you back, Carolyn. She’s a wonderfully ghostly figure, though I’m no fan of Halloween. My daughter has gone to a Halloween Ball in York, but there don’t seem to be many little trick or treaters here this year. We have loads of sweets left! xx

    1. Thank you so much, Jo! I must admit that while I enjoy looking at the decorations, in more recent years my husband and I haven’t been handing out candy… our house is one of those with the lights off, ha ha! We want to relax in the evenings. I’m intrigued by this Halloween Ball in York… I will have to look that up.

  3. Hope you had a Happy Halloween. I’m impressed at how creative some people get with their Halloween decorations. Sorry to hear about your injury, hopefully you’ll recover quickly. I’m looking forward to the holidays as well. I’ve started putting away my fall and Halloween decor this weekend and was debating whether to put up some of my Christmas stuff!
